In midsummer every year people from all over congregate in Downtown Sterling Heights at Dodge Park. The park gets very crowded with attendees, food stands and carnival rides, so get there early. You can also expect fun entertainment with featured performances by local and sometimes very popular bands. Music is very important to Sterling Heights. Residents of Sterling Heights can look forward to the American-Polish Festival. Sterling Heights has a large Polish-American population in and around the city. Once again, music is very important to the people of Sterling Heights so you can expect to hear a good number of Polish American bands.The Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation Department presents the 21st annual music series "Sterling Coffeehouse." On Sunday evenings in March, area entertainers will perform in the Recreation Center, located at Dodge Park and Utica roads.
